Second Verse, Same as the First

USC really blew out Oklahoma in a laugher of a game last night to repeat as National Champions. It's a good thing the SEC didn't embarass ourselves by sending a team that just scraped by the #9 team in the country. Wooo, we beat #9.

Check out this article for a list of teams that have repeated the title. Hmmm, I wonder who would top the list of teams that went undefeated the most times and didn't get a title? Must be great to be a fan of the Rodney Dangerfield of college football teams.

I can hardly wait to hear what Fatman and the Huffer have to say about this post...

We'll see how many times Bamuhr "repeats" with Shula at the wheel....

Does anyone else need other parts of the post explained in small words to them? By the way, Al, I never said anything about how good or bad Bama was in my post. In fact, I didn't mention Bama at all in my post. They stunk it up this year and probably will for several years to come. Unlike most of the other Bama fans and all the Auburn fans I know, I'm not afraid to face reality.

That's it, Hatch ! Face the Shula, take it like a man !

Yeah, the game was pretty painful to watch. I had expected that it would be closer, but I haven't seen a butt-stomping like that in a national championship game since Bama beat Miami way back when in the '91 Sugar Bowl. It was the first time in years that I didn't even watch the whole championship game.

In a tough situation, Tuberville was the picture of class during the Orange Bowl halftime show, acknowledging that the Trojans were number 1, and not pulling a Jason Campbell whine. Mike Shula let me get drunk in his apartment back when I was in high school, so I have to like him, but I have to say I wish we had Tuberville coaching at Bama (or here at Vandy!).

If the Tigers want to claim a share of the National Title, I think that it is legitimate, at least as much so as USC claiming a share of it last year, when LSU kicked Okie ass in the title game.

Paul, you may want to give Shula a call, and tell him not to let his players DRINK IN HIS APARTMENT before game time next season, : )
